The first quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends among the top 5 film and television apps on the Android platform in Hungary. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Disney+ experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $44.4K in mid-January and later stabilizing around $26K by the end of March. Weekly downloads showed a significant drop from 24.9K at the end of December to 6.3K by the end of March. Meanwhile, weekly active users saw an upward trend, increasing from 112.8K to 121.9K over the quarter.

SWEET.TV - TV and movies saw a remarkable increase in weekly revenue, starting at $251 at the end of December and rising to approximately $1.5K by the end of March. Weekly downloads peaked in late February at 10.7K, before declining to around 6.5K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users grew from 8.5K to 12.8K during the same period.

SkyShowtime: Movies & Series, which launched in mid-February, saw its weekly revenue peak at $6.4K in its first week, before settling around $2.9K by the end of March. Weekly downloads started strong at 22.9K and decreased to around 8.7K. Weekly active users showed consistent growth, reaching 35.4K by the end of March.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $19.9K in early February and ending the quarter at around $14.7K. Weekly downloads varied, starting at 11.9K and dropping to approximately 4.5K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 19.7K and 24K throughout the quarter.

Netflix saw a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting from 8.7K at the end of December to 3.6K by the end of March. Weekly active users also decreased from 202.3K to 150.6K over the same period.
